Upton Park's Grand Finale with action-feature, Final Score

High octane feature film, Final Score, starring former Bond Pierce Bronson and Six-time WWE world champion Dave Bautista, is tipped to be one of the standout films of 2017. The action thriller, described as "Die Hard in a Soccer Stadium" is produced by Signature Films and The Fyzz Facility, with Highland Films Group executive producing.

The story, written by the Lynch brothers and directed by Scott Mann, is set at a major sporting event during which the stadium is seized by a group of heavily armed criminals demanding ransom. An ex-soldier must use all his military skills to save the 35,000 capacity crowd, one of which is the daughter of his fallen comrade.

Principle filming took place at Upton Park, also known as the Boleyn Ground, in Newham. Formerly the home of West Ham United - now vacant and undergoing development. Prior to demolition started the stadium posed as a perfect location for filming culminatin in a controlled explosion scene that is sure to ensure a grand finale in the film.

With plenty of persuits, gunfire, drones and detonated bombs, the Newham Film Office were on hand to advice and monitor all aspects of filming.

Managing Director Dominic Reeve-Tucker says "Newham Film Office worked closely with the production to ensure community benefits were created with the production involving the local community to be extras in the film, offering local companies the opportunity to have their logos and signage on display around the stadium to feature on screen in the film and a contribution generated for a local charity out of UK cinema admissions."

"Final Score may be set in London but truly it's a story that's relatable the world over," said The Fyzz Facility's Robert Jones.

"Scott Mann's vision has scale, white knuckle tension, humor and heart. We're thrilled that the concept and screenplay has attracted such an exciting cast in Dave Bautista, Pierce Brosnan and Julian Cheung, and firmly believe that this will be a standout in 2017's movie release calendar."

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to film in this unique and legendary location," said producer Marc Goldberg.

"We have a stellar team looking to deliver a $20million non-stop action, world class film with a one off unique opportunity to utilise an iconic stadium before it's demolished. Imagine Die Hard in a Soccer Stadium."
